The NBPS Political Club aims to engage students in discussion of both local and global issues that affect us all. Meetings are held every other friday of the month from 3:30 to 4:30 in Ms. Drews’ room. Members suggest topics for discussion based on news they found interesting and important throughout previous weeks. The club then discusses a wide variety of local and global concerns. What set’s the club apart from a simple class on government or politics is that members are supportive of each other, and are able to construct both argument and solution in a cooperative and pragmatic fashion.

This year, the NBPS Political Club seeks to hold speaker seminars with community leaders involved in certain aspects of poltics, the environment, religion, and other services in order to better communicate certain ideas and viewpoints to members and participants of these events.

In addition, the NBPS Political Club will be launching efforts to inform the school and local community of service opportunities. Such opportunities include saving environments, increasing awareness of certain noble causes, and providing a greater platform for those with a message to be able to communicate it.
